Anauralia is defined as the absence of auditory sensory imagery, meaning individuals do not experience mental sounds such as an inner voice or music playing in their heads.
I was, years ago, speaking to a friend about hearing music in your head all the time, usually a song you like, but sometimes imagining ideas. Like a constant soundtrack. She said she never heard music in her head. I thought this was really strange.
Some years later when I started putting this project together as a concept with collaboration (I didn't want to just do 'Dissent' again) I needed a name. Once day I recalled the conversation and I was intrigued to see if this weird 'not hearing music in your head' was a real thing, and found the an article called 'Anaurelia: The Enigma Of The Silent Mind'. The name was born.
These are/will be ideas from my head, realised with the help of some talented friends. But this time, I'm in charge.
LFD Studios is the current iteration of The Low Fidelity Disconnect.
It encompases a vision of what music, art, and life itself means to me and the others involved, as much as it attempts to represent any single project or body of work.
All the artists I have worked with deserve far more credit that they have ever received.
